Sure, you’ll miss some references, characters and such by going in completely fresh, but it’s not a huge deal overall. You do not need to be aware of plot points of previous titles in order to grasp what’s going on here. ![]() That’s because each game can easily be enjoyed in and of itself. Existing fans, on the other hand, have had more than enough time to forget basically all key points about the previous two games.įortunately, both groups are on relatively similar footing when they choose to play Da Capo 3 R. At this point, so many new visual novel fans have come into the fold – many having never played any Da Capo title before. This is huge news given there was effectively a seven year wait for localization to finally be completed on it. Years after both Da Capo and Da Capo II released in English, Da Capo 3 R is now available on Steam (and Da Capo 3 R X~Rated is accessible via MangaGamer’s storefront). It is also one of the earliest games that publisher MangaGamer brought out in physical format. Devs don't force to you do anything.Īnd don't take it out on me - I also would like to get a full, uncensored version on steam.īlame Valve and their politics - they allow games with violence, murder and much more, but a VN with h-scenes is seen as a devil itself. The Da Capo series is one of developer Circus’s best known titles. So like Orange said, you choose and buy one version you want. Side note it would also seem neko have resorted charging now for the added content and no longer offers the free patch (unlike most im not dumb enough to trust ppl and have a copy of the patch lol so thsi doesnt bother me even if i dont ownt he games i always grtabe patchs and stuff when i see them for this very reasonĭC3 Xrated on MG is $38.20 and steam nonero is 31,44€ (both prices with discounts). So this game coudl eb a bad example for this argument mm i guess that could be considered there real goal if giving them the benifit of the dought however alot of ppl want the steam version for the benifts but also want allt he content (as i dont own this game i dont know how effected the game is) granted as state dbefore original when the game first released even in japan the game original had no h content in it and was later added to the game. Though the regional pricing thing is an interesting question, not sure if MG will ever implement some kind of regional pricing on their own storefront. forcing ppl to pay an extra almost 50 bucks for a few CGs? is priacy in general and just plan greed no one whos smart is goign to pay that ill bet 99% of the players on here that buy the steam version will pirate the hscens to add them as i said no one in there right mind will pay 50bucks to get them, sure some die hard fans will but majority wont Originally posted by Nagisa:true and not. ![]() It is for people to choose the version that suits their needs. The intention is not to force people to buy both versions. This does not allow you to downloading the x-rated version or expecting devs to give you something for free. You had an option to buy X-rated version, but you didn't. You have bought the non ero version, and you knew it didn't have h-content. It's like you bought a normal edition of Lord of the Rings movies, and then downloaded an extended edition. You have not paid for the h-content, you pirated it.
